Highly experienced teacher of chemistry, excellent subject knowledge across all organic, physical and inorganic chemistry. Specialising in physical chemistry. I am also able to support student in developing their maths skills as applies to the science courses.

As a former course leader, I have a thorough understanding of exam requirements at both GCSE and A-Level.

I want every student to achieve the very best outcomes to further their own aspirations. I have thoroughly prepared students for A-Level and GCSE exams during my time as a classroom teacher. I use a mixture of theory, practical knowledge, exam question practice and assessment to support student learning.

I have supported small targeted groups of students and on a one-to-one basis in preparation for assessments and exams.

I am very confident with all exam boards and in particular the requirements of the new GCSE and A-Level specifications.

Extensive experience of practical skills as a research scientist and how this applies to new style of examinations

I am always well prepared with a bank of resources to support you in your studies.

Suitability for tutoring
I managed Fallyn for about 18 months until August 2013 when she started her teacher training. Fallyn supported me on the delivery of workshops to FE college teams and production of strategies to support the development of the STEM offer at these colleges. Fallyn was always timely and punctual and delivered beyond my expectations. She was organised in the preparation for our sessions and an asset during their delivery. She was confident during her delivery, would engage with all participants and help them to draw out their thinking and articulate their views. She was respectful of their opinions and ensured that they were reflected within the final strategy. Fallyn was always keen that the college engaged their students in STEM subjects as much as possible. She used her scientific expertise to help shape the college’s STEM offer to better engage students. Around the office she was also helpful and productive, delivering documents and reports as agreed to a high quality. She integrated well with other team members and other departments, helping out wherever she could. I would have no hesitation in recommending Fallyn for any employment, especially as a teacher.
