Qualified A Level & GCSE Teacher
My passion for maths is what led me to want to tutor students and consequently study a mathematical degree at university. Since then i have become a maths teacher at a secondary school. This is my 7th year tutoring and I have a lot of experience under my belt. I was a very bright student in high school - and that led me to get straight A's in my GCSEs. However, i really struggled with my A Levels and although i managed to turn things around - it took a tutor and a lot of hard work to do so.
My own personal experience is what really led me, to want to become a tutor and help students achieve the best they possibly can. I am able to draw on both insights when tutoring students and this makes me a unique tutor as I am able to teach concepts in a manner, which is tailored to each students' needs.
Furthermore, I have experience in tutoring students in primary school and those sitting for 11+ exams and am well equipped to cater to students at the stage in their education too.
I have 7 years of experience doing one-to-one tutoring. I have tutored students in KS2, KS3, KS4 (GCSE) and KS5 (A Level). In addition to that, I also have experience in tutoring for 11+ exams - my most recent student managed to get scholarships and offers into all the schools she sat exams for.
This academic year, is my second in classroom teaching at a secondary school.
