My name is Lisanne Otten, a professional musician originally from the Netherlands, a BA (Hons) music graduate of Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) and CTLLS qualified teacher. I have loved music & the piano since I can remember, which I first took up lessons aged 7. My musical background includes classical and jazz training on the piano (ABRSM Grade 8 with distinction, and Grade 8 theory), (church) choir-singing, and playing the bass guitar and keyboards in bands and ensembles from an early age.Alongside teaching, I work as a professional gigging musician.
Throughout my musical career I have been very active in musical theatre, jazz, rock, and pop as a rehearsal pianist, keyboard player, bassist and as an MD.

My performance experience is versatile; from playing solo and background piano at various hotels and restaurants; and playing live at various venues around the world with my jazz & latin band as well as rock, disco and 80's function bands (including a Sting and the Police tribute band). I also play with orchestras and MD for Musical theatre including a stint in Londons West End.

Due to my versatile musical experience, I can offer a range of styles in lessons, from classical to jazz, Latin, rock and pop, using a range of methods including listening skills as well as regular music notation, depending on the Student's individuals learning needs.

I am enthusiastic, energetic, patient, and dedicated to students having fun during their playing as well as learning vital skills to become a confident, creditable musician.
