5 Years Experience
Send me a short message,
explaining your tuition needs.
Born and bred Londoner, I am a fully qualified teacher with 5 years experience teaching GCSE and A-level as both a private tutor and an Assistant Head of Sixth Form at a school in West London. I am incredibly honest (sometimes to the point of brutal) and thoroughly enjoy the company of young people. I love learning all about the hopes and dreams of our future leaders and finding a way to help them to get there. Through my tutoring and role as a governor, I seek to ensure that I remain connected with education, especially as young people keep me incredibly grounded!
In terms of my style, I am a great believer in pushing my pupils beyond their own pre-determined boundaries and I have very high expectations of what I believe that we can achieve together. I will always aim to do this in the kindest way possible, but I will not be afraid to challenge my pupils and their ideas if I believe that these can be better. Whilst I believe that respect is earned, I will not tolerate unnecessary behaviour. That said, I won't teach you like a robot so be prepared to share, as your personal development is just as important to me as your academic success!
Until July 2015, I taught for 3 years at a school in West London, where I was also the Assistant Head of Sixth Form. I have since tutored pupils of all levels on a 1-2-1 basis on a range of subjects including the 11+, 13+, English KS3 and KS4 as well as Government and Politics at KS5.
